A break in the pattern

And now for something different:

At least when it comes to propulsion systems.

A heavy vectored thrust tank:

Still very much WIP. It will get some underside air inlets antennas and perhaps a landing gear. Part of a group of four.

The model is loosely based on the GMC Banshee from the Shadowrun RPG. I won’t post the inspirational picture from the Rigger Handbook for copy right reasons, but you can find it with a simple google search.

Furthermore its little brother. A scout vehicle with a similar layout.

Also WIP.

Please excuse the picture quality. The lighting wasn’t optimal when I took them.

More Scifi-WIPs

Here are some WIPs for my near future corporate mercenaries:

First the basic MRAP type infantry transporter sans turret:

Still needs the lights and optics painted as well as some tactical markings. Afterwards some pigments. The turrets are magnetized and still in the works. I’ve also scratched a heavier remote turret to be able to use one as an MGS/FSV.

It belongs to a group of three vehicles. The camo scheme is based the one from the British Berlin Brigade but done irregularly to make it look more aggressive.

The model is from Antenocitis Workshop. Great casting quality, I cannot recommend them enough! Sadly they don’t produce it at the moment, but they are due to be re-released later this year.

I also have two modified bodies in the works which have a flattened top and added heavy turrets from Brigade Models.

The next one is a super heavy wheeled assault gun to blast those pesky fortified buildings during urban operations.

Based on an 1/72 Stridsvagen die-cast model. Not my best work, but once it is painted it should tie everything together nicely.

Long time no read a.k.a.work from the last two years

Well Real Life™ has intruded quite a bit on my hobby time over the last two years. Anyways time to post some projects I have been working on:

First of a Mobile Gun System (or Fire Support Vehicle, depending on the parlance) squadron of three vehicles for my NeoArabs. The model pictured is still very much wip. Since then they already had their first coats of paint with the new airbrush. More pictures will follow when I have proper light to take better pictures.

Next up is the scout variant based on the same chassis. Also wip.

If you wonder what the orange stuff is, it’s  self adhesive paper I got my hands on. It takes colours better than expected and is thinner than plastic sheet. The adhesiveness could still be a bit better though. When painted by brush multiple times it gets hard as thin plastic. The lower sides (behind the wheels) of the three wheeled APC are also covered by it. Another positive trait is that it is easy to add panel  lines with a ball point pen.

Painted with Vallejo and Mig washes

I wanted to add some decals reading “Militsiya”, but they are still in the post and the submission deadline is tomorrow. Don’t mind the white flake on the right front wheel only saw that after taking the picture, but the good light was gone and I couldn’t take another good one. without it.

It’s a kitbash from various parts of Battlefront, Qrf, Heavy Gear, GZG, PSC and wheels from 1/87 railway models and plasticard.

First Post

Hello everyone,

I will mostly post about my dabbling in variously scaled tabletop wargames. Most of it will be in regard to either Scifi or African imagi-nations in 15mm. But also the odd post about Battlefleet Gothic or 6mm Future War Commander might follow.
